                        Secondary and Higher Education Cess @ 1% is payable on taxable services with effect from 11.5.2007 (ie. the date of enactment of the Finance Bill 2007).   Pending opening of new Head of Accounts the Secondary and Higher Education Cess may be
paid indicating the code as detailed below.
